The Restaurant & Bar
The restaurant and bar areas needed downlighting that they could reply on, so Ansell Prism LED fire rated, IP65 downlights were chosen. These particular downlights have an LED lifespan of 40,000 hours, wide 60 degree beam angle for increased light distribution and meet building regulations and emergency integrated function. The downlights were paired with Philips Master LED ExpertColor GU10’s chosen for their superior quality lighting, high energy efficiency rating, customised lighting spectrum and deep dimming feature. Also featured in the restaurant and bar area and also the reception were dimmable lamps. Our projects team fitted Philips Master Dimtone LED GLS lamps, these filament LED lamps combine the familiar shapes of incandescent lamps with the benefits of long-lasting LED technology. To give an extra special look, Bell LED vintage amber globe lamps were chosen for their amber glass, glowing finish and also dimmable function.
The Products
The Ansell Prism Pro downlights were used in the restaurant, bar area and meeting rooms along with Philips Master LED ExpertColor GU10’s. Linking the lighting for ease of use, the OCTO lighting system was fitted. Bell LED vintage amber globe dimmable lamps were also used in the restautant area. Philips Master Value Dimtone LED GLS lamps were also installed.

The Bottom Line…
Small Changes, Big Impact
Ansell Prism LED downlights replaced older versions in the meeting rooms. The Ansell OCTO lighting system was used to link all of the lighting meaning that any lighting areas could be controlled and dimmed in a group, sub group or individual luminaires. The hotel wanted the lights to go off in the restuarant bar and reception between the hours of 1am-6am. The OCTO system can be controlled from a fast operation smart lighting app which gives full control, scene setting and pre-set timer. All of these extra touches contribute to a smoother running hotel which will also help with saving on energy costs and maintenance.
