The Academy Lobby

This area of the hotel is a purpose built ‘Academy’ with 10 meeting rooms, a popular aspect of the hotel where conferences and corporate activities are held. We replaced lighting in the lobby area where we removed 2 x 13W 200mm downlights with the sleek Integral Multifit 13W LED downlight, this is a great fitting as the cut-out size can be adjusted minimising the potential need for redecoration. In addition to this, we replaced 35W halogen MR16s with Philips Corepro 3.5W GU10s and the Integral EvoFire Downlight. These upgrades make the Academy lobby a sleek area, excellent for welcoming corporate guests.

The Holiday Inn Cambridge, set in the scenic Cambridgeshire countryside, underwent a comprehensive lighting upgrade, replacing compact fluorescent lights with energy-efficient LED fittings. The project covered various areas, including offices, guest rooms, and The Academy’s meeting rooms. Integrated sensor LEDs were installed to optimise energy usage by only activating lighting when rooms are occupied. This upgrade, which achieved a 1.02-year ROI, significantly reduced energy costs while maintaining a sleek and modern look throughout the hotel.
