Quaglino’s is one of the iconic D&D restaurants in London. Situated in the heart of St. James, it is known for its glamour, style and contemporary dining. We were thrilled to complete an LED lighting project with Quaglino’s due to its legendary status. This project was like others we completed with D&D in that our clients wanted very specific lighting products in their restaurant. This is common when replacing lighting in such renowned locations when interior design and impact is at the centre of their focus.

Reception and Lounge
At a renowned restaurant like Quaglino’s, a high impact entrance is essential to set the tone for guest experience. We replaced a range of lighting in the reception and bar area. Switching to LED lighting in an area with such high footfall saved our clients hugely due to the duration of time that lighting is turned on and the wattage reductions. Our clients chose lighting that is sleek and decorative to match their required ambience such as the Soraa 7.5W GU10 which has ornate edges and the stylishh Saxby tilted downlight. In addition to this we supplied 2.3W Philips LED MR11s and the Zico 4W SES LED candle. These changes mean that the reception and lounge area of the restaurant continues to impress guests upon their arrival.
The Products
Our clients were keen to use specific lighting brands such as Zico, Soraa and Saxby LEDs throughout their project. These brands are known for their use within high end establishments in the hospitality industry and therefore these products were perfect for this application. We replaced 35W MR16 halogen fittings with the 7.5W Soraa LED lamp alongside a stylish black Zico fitting, 20W halogen MR11s with the Philips 2.3W LED MR11, 40W Halogen SES Golfballs with the Zico 4W SES Golfball, 26W halogen G9s with the 3W Zico LED G9, 50W halogen AR111s with the Soraa 18.5W AR111. We also supplied a range of fittings to accompany the lamps such as the Zico black track light and a Saxby adjustable tilted downlight fitting. These upgrades meant that our clients at Quaglino’s could maintain their high impact lighting without compromising on their establishments unique design and style.
