Bluebird Chelsea
The Bluebird Chelsea is an extremely popular dining destination in the heart of Chelsea, known for its chic and modern design in conjunction with its variety of dining experiences; from formal dining to relaxed and casual. The completion of an LED lighting project in this famous restaurant needed to consider these specific requirements to ensure that the restaurant could maintain its high-end feel. We replaced lighting in the reception area, various restaurant areas, chef’s table and private dining areas. This meant that high quality products were crucial in this project. We were thrilled to complete a project of this nature with such a well renowned London location.

Private Dining Room
The private dining area in Bluebird heightens guest dining experience through its exclusive feel, making the lighting and ambience of paramount importance. We replaced 35W MR16 halogens with the Soraa 7.5W GU10 alongside the Aurora Matt White Downlight. These lamps have a decorative edging and were chosen specifically by our clients to ensure consistency across D&D restaurant sites. These spotlights merge perfectly with the decor in the private dining room whilst making great energy savings. Dimming capabilities are also vital for lighting in a private space, so that guest experience can be personalised and enhanced. Ensuring that lighting can be dimmed effectively is a core part of our project service. We take measures to make sure that lighting dims appropriately without flickering by ensuring that the correct high quality products are supplied alongside the LED lamps.
The Products
This project was completed efficiently by our project team due to the consistency of lighting required by our clients. This meant that we could supply a smaller range of products, adding to the coherence of the lighting design across the restaurant. We upgraded 35W halogen MR16s with the 7.5W Soraa GU10, 18W 4 Pin compact fluorescents with the Philips 6.5W LED PLC lamp, 28W halogen SBC candles with the Zico 4W Filament SBC candle and finally the decorative 40W ES halogen tubulars with the Zico 6W LED tubular. Replacing these candles and tubular halogen lamps with filament LEDs meant that our clients did not lose any of the decorative elements of their interior design.
