Blythswood Square Hotel
An elegant hotel in Scotland’s biggest city of Glasgow benefitted from a return on investment lighting project. We conducted an ROI survey to see the best way to save the hotel energy and costs by upgrading to LED.

Guest Bedrooms
We replaced fluorescent T8 lamps with new LED Tornado Evo battens which included PIR sensors. With 50 rooms changing to LED meant that every room could now benefit from long lasting lighting. The surface mounted PIR sensors in each room provided immediate illumination when the room was occupied and automatically turning off when the room was empty, therefore saving on energy.
The Products
4ft and 5ft single T8 fluorescent battens where changed to more efficient Ansell Tornado Evo battens with microwave sensors included. All of the rooms had MLA Knightsbridge 360° surface mounted PIR sensors fitted as well. Some CFL 2/4 pin bulkheads were replaced with the Ansell Disco Evo 2 with microwave sensor.
