The Holiday Inn London Bexley had already upgraded to LED in many areas. They wanted to increase their energy savings further by changing to LED fixtures and fittings in meeting room break areas, boiler room and laundry storage areas. The projects’ team where mindful to not only change to LED but to make sure that the lighting only came on when someone was present in the room, so microwave sensors included into the fittings were the best choice. The hotel has a lighting system which is a great benefit to keeping all lighting linked up to one area, managing lighting levels and reducing unnecessary usage. With the Ansell OCTO lighting system being used it meant that our team could use wireless smart switches in the meeting room breakout area, linking to the lighting in a much easier way.
