Holiday Inn Coventry
The Holiday Inn Coventry wanted to save on energy costs by changing halogen and compact fluorescent lamps to more efficient LED alternatives. After the initial ROI survey we could see where best the hotel could benefit from new fixtures and fittings. After upgrading to LED the hotel will see a return on investment in just under two years, saving 71% on energy usage.

The Canteen Area
The hotel canteen needed an inviting warm light for the hotel guests to enjoy, this was taken into consideration when changing fluorescent lamps to LED Ansell Disco EVO fittings which have a slim and modern look and CCT selectable which allows you to switch from warm white, cool white or daylight. These also come with emergency technology so if there is an electrical shortage the light will stay on with a battery.
The Products
The Ansell Disco bulkhead and Ansell Tornado battens along with Philips LED tubes were used in a lot of the back-of-house areas. Some of the office areas had Kosnic LED panels fitted. The Ansell OCTO wireless switch along with the Ansell Prism downlight were used in meeting rooms.
The Bottom Line…
Small Changes, Big Impact
The meetings rooms had previously had T8 fluorescent tubing in place and MR16 halogen spotlighting, the Lightsave Projects’ team changed these for much more efficient Ansell Tornado battens with Philips CorePro LED tubing. The spotlighting was replaced with Ansell Prism downlights which connect to the Ansell OCTO indoor controller and Ansell OCTO wireless smart switch. The controller can be used to control a group, sub group or individual luminaires which then mean that they can connect to the wireless smart switch for ease of use for a very efficient lighting system.
