As with every lighting project the first thing we complete is a free ROI survey where we meticulously count every product in use in each area so we can see a breakdown of the fixtures and fittings. This information is then shown to the hotel to propose which areas can benefit from new technology and suitable LED alternatives.
This particular project vocused on the back-of-house areas and car park, which are just as important as the rest of the hotel rooms on saving the hotel energy costs, maintenance and CO2.

The Car Park Area
The car parking area for Crowne Plaza Leeds can now enjoy new lighting supplied by Lightsave Projects. The new Ansell Tornado Evo 5 foot (1500mm) battons are non-corrosive IP65 with lockable heavy-duty stainless steel clips supplied as standard for added safety and security. The unique luminaire fixing clip design allows the option of mounting onto BESA boxes. They are MWS meaning they are motion-detecting and only come on when movement is detected, so less energy is used as they will not be on while not in use.

Small Changes, Big Impact
The basement area, laundry room, cellar and bin store lighting also had the Ansell Tornado LED batten fittings added along with the Ansell Disco LED fitting which have MWS motion sensors. The Ansell Disco has a modern finish with a choice of chrome, white, black or graphite bezel to easily fit into any setting.
These back-of-house areas are just as important to save energy on and the lamps will have a long life so costs on replacing them will be reduced significantly.
