Holiday Inn M4 J4
The Holiday Inn M4 J4 has been a valued customer of Lightsave for many many years and this project was an excellent opportunity to enhance our relationship with them further. This project was completed at the request of the LGH Head Office, and it was more important that it was successful due to the Holiday Inn M4 J4’s location as the LGH Head Office.
This hotel’s location makes it the perfect place for business and leisure travelers alike. It is renowned for its exceptional service and modern amenities, so it was vital that this project optimised lighting throughout the site. This project included a site lighting upgrade, where we focused on guest-facing areas such as bedrooms and meeting rooms and back-of-house areas including offices, corridors and areas exclusively for hotel employees. This hotel had already started to replace their halogen lighting with some LED lighting to become energy efficient, but this was by no means consistent, and we believed that superior products could be installed to enhance the overall quality and impact of the lighting across the hotel.
This project was drawn out over a longer time than some of our other projects, as it was important to fit it into the hotel’s budget constraints. This project’s success is a testament to the way in which our clients at M4 J4 collaborated with us throughout the project. This alliance meant we could adopt an agile approach, adjusting required areas as needed. As a result of this, the project was a great success!

Bedrooms
As our clients at Holiday Inn M4 J4 requested a lighting replacement project which was across the hotel interior, it included many different areas both guest-facing and back-of-house such as; meeting rooms, offices, corridors, storerooms and staff-only areas. The upgrade of bedroom lighting in this hotel was the most extensive part of the project. Across the bedrooms in the hotel we installed 2,650 LED MR16s, replacing 35W Halogen lamps with the Philips Corepro 3.5W LED GU10. We fitted this alongside the Integral Evo Fire Downlight; chosen for its LED compatibility, easy push fit installation and fire-rated design. The colour temperature chosen for these rooms was 3000K; a warm white colour that’s perfect for providing comfort in a bedroom setting.
The Products
The hotel required the replacement of many T8 fluorescent lights throughout the site including 58W 5ft batten fittings which we replaced with the Bell LED 25W Dura Anti-corrosive batten, specifically chosen for its integrated sensor and the way in which is designed to withstand exposure to water or harsh chemicals. We also switched T8 fluorescent tubes in 600×600 fittings with the Integral Evo LED Backlit 600×600 Panel which was elected for its low UGR rating, reducing the amount of glare to increase comfort in staff offices and areas.
